Telling your kids about Star Wars – While most of us were lucky enough to discover all the Star Wars episodes in the order and time span in which they were officially released, for memo:

- IV A new hope (1977)
- V The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
- VI Return of the Jedi (1983)
- I The Phantom Menace (1999)
- II Attack of the Clones (2002)
- III Revenge of the Sith (2005)

(As a reminder a new trilogy sequel starting with episode VII is to be released in 2015 also.)

The following generations on the other side will have access to all of the trilogies up front, which can be a matter of concern for Star Wars (generation) parents – for most purists – who wish to preserve their children and hope that the latter will get to live the Star Wars experience just the way they did. For example, can one conceive any other way of learning that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s father otherwise than by the dark lord himsel?

So is there a perfect moment to introduce your kids to Star Wars, how and when can/must it happen, should all be revealed?
